Jason Carley graduted from the University of New South Wales, Australia with Merit in a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Finance degrees. He is an Australian portfolio manager specialising in stressed and distressed securities. Since May 2009, he has been a partner with Roland Berger and others in BLM Partners. Prior to that he was a partner and portfolio manager at BlueMountain Capital Management, a New York based hedge fund. Before 2005, Jason Carley was Managing Director and Head of European Corporate Credit Research for Merrill Lynch, London, where he analysed corporate credit across the continents. In this role he was a prominent commentator on Asian companies during the Asian financial crisis.
